By choosing from a wide variety of framing techniques, water soluble tapes and paste as well as Mylar bands to hold larger three-dimensional items in place, nearly any item(s) can be framed or placed in a shadow box for display. “A goal we have with any mounting situation is to use ‘preservation framing’ techniques. These methods use non acidic material and water soluble adhesives. This preserves the art or object in its original state,” says Nelson.
“The best thing to do is look at our showroom and get ideas,”mused Nelson, because heirlooms, memorabilia and other significant articles can be framed or mounted in a shadow box and have a truly stunning effect.”
